    The commutative property basically states that u can commute the numbers ... u can move them around, and it will not change the result ... so for multiplication, it would be : a * b = b * a

    so ur answer is : a * 3 = 3 * a ... answer B

    the problem is a*3 in order to rewrite it using commutative property of multiplication, it needs to remain a multiplication problem.
