    When we apply a scale factor "c" to a parent function f (x), the resulting function is

    g (x) = c*f (x).

    A scale factor is the ratio of the transformed function and the original function, or

    scale factor = (transformed function) / (original function).

    If the size is doubled, the scale factor is 2.
