    So your variable are these

    x = # of accountants

    x+10 = # of supervisors

    4 (x+10) = # of mechanics

    So you get the equation x + (x+10) + (4x+40) = 230

    and you solve for x

    6x + 50 = 230

    6x = 180

    x=30

    so accountants = 30

    supervisors = 40

    Mecahnics = 160
