Solve for the given length:

The length of a rectangle is 3 m longer than its width.

The area of the rectangle is 154 m2.

What is the width of the rectangle?

    Let x = width

    Then x+3 = length

    So 2x+2x+6=26

    4x+20

    x=5

    Width is x=5m and length is x+3=8m

    Area is (lenght) (width) so (5) (8) = 40m squared
