A kite has a height of 36 inches and a width of 30 inches. Explain how to use the area formula for a triangle to find the area of the kite.

    If the hight is 36 and the width is 30 then the area is 540. as the formula is (diagonal*diagonal) / 2 or simply (h*w) / 2 how can you use the traingle method to get the 540. well there is a few ways but we are just gunna do this. 36/2=18 30/2=15 so now you have two lengths of your right triangle 18*15=270 ... divide 270 by 2 in order to get your area of your triangle. your area of the triangle is 135. 135*4 is 540. the reason i timesed the area of your triangle by four is becuase there is 4 of the triangles in your kite
