The probability that a restuarant patron is wearing blue shoes is 0.36. the probabilty that a restaurant patron is 27 years old is 0.017. what is the probability that a patron has blue shoes and is 27?

    The events are independent, therefore one doesn't affect the outcome of the other, thus recall that AND means "times" namely multiplication.

    P (A and B) = > P (A) * P (B), in this case 0.36 * 0.017.
