First we need to remove the % sign so we divide it by 100%

    144%/100%

    144/100

    which gives

    38/25

    which in mixed fractions is

    1 13/25

A mixed number is a number accompanied by a proper fraction.

    100% is equivalent to 1, therefore, it's 1 and 44%.

Percentages represent fractions 1-100, thus, we can do 44/100.

In reducing, we halve the numerator and denominator until one side cannot be evenly divided.

    44/2=22

    100/2=50

    (22/50)

    22/2=11

    50/2=25

    (11/25)

Thus, your mixed number is 1 & 11/25.
