Ms Harrison tells you that a right triangle has a hypotenuse of 13 km and a leg of 12 km. She asks you to find the other leg of the triangle. What is the length of the other leg to the nearest km?

    12^2 + x^2 = 13^2

    144 + x^2 = 169

    x^2 = 25

    x=5

    The other leg is 5 km
