    To find the value of c that makes the equation true we have to solve for c.

    -3-3/4 (c-4) = 5/4

    -3-3/4c+3=5/4

    -3 - 3/4c + 3 = 5/4

    -3 + 3 - 3/4c = 5/4

    0 - 3/4c = 5/4

    -3/4c = 5/4

    -3/4c/-3/4 = 5/4 / - 3/4

    c = 5/4 • 4/-3

    c = - 20/12

    c = - 5/3.

    The correct value that c must be to make the equation true is c = - 5/3.
