Could two lines with negative slope be perpendicular? Explain.

    No. For two lines to be perpendicular their slope must be the negative reciprocals of one another, mathematically:

    m1*m2=-1

    So if the slope of one line is negative, the line perpendicular to this must be positive by definition.
