Suppose you are using α = 0.05 to test the claim that μ > 23 using a p-value. you are given the sample statistics, and find the p-value.

    Using a T-test:

    t (24.1) = (24.1-23/[2.7/sqrt (35) ] = - 2.4103

    P - value = 2*P (-100< t < - 1.9720, when df = 34)

    = tcdf (-100,-2.4103,34) - > using excel

    = 0.0107
