What is the slope of a line that is perpendicular to the line whose equation is y=4/5x-3

    Y = 4/5x - 3 ... slope here is 4/5. A perpendicular line will have a negative reciprocal slope. All that means is " flip " the slope, and change the sign. So a perpendicular line will need a slope of - 5/4.
