    Y=3x-24

    x=8+y/3 for y and x=y/5+28/5 for x

    5x-y=28

    x=y/5+28/5 for x and x = 8 + y/3 for y

    Plug in y=3x-24

    5x - (3x-24) = 28 combine your x

    2x+24=28

    Subtract2x=4

    Divide x=2

    Plugin to y equation

    Y = 3 (2) - 24

    Y=-18
