    5x^2 + 20x + 13 = 0

    Divide through by 5:-

    x^2 + 4x + 13/5 = 0

    (x + 2) ^2 - 4 = - 13/5 = - 2.6

    (x + 2) ^2 = - 2.6 + 4 = 1.4

    x + 2 = + / - sqrt1.4

    x = - 2 + sqrt1.4, - sqrt1.4 - 2

    the roots are - 0.817, - 3.183 to nearest thousandth
