How to solve - x+4=-2x-6

    -x+4 = - 2x-6

    add 6 to each side:

    -x+10 = - 2x

    add 1x to each side

    10 = - x

    divide each side by - 1

    x = - 10

    Add 2x to both sides

    Simplify 4 - x + 2x to 4 + x

    subtract 4 from both sides

    subtract - 6 - 4.

    Answer: x = - 10
