If 56% are female, and 58% have math as their favorite subject, then there are some female students who like math best, so they have been counted in both. We can added the given of 56% + 58% = 114%, then subtract the 76% who are either female or like math, to get 114% - 76% = 38% as the number of students who have been counted under both. This means that 38% are female students who like math as their favorite subject.
