So just put them inside each other

    f (x) = x-1

    h (x) = x^2+1

    find

    h (f (x))

    this means subsitute f (x) for the x in h (x)

    so

    g (f (x)) = (x-1) ^2+1

Well you dont have to worry about the g (x) equation.

    first find f (x)

    f (x) = x - 1

    now find h (x - 1)

    h (x) = (x - 1) ²+1

    h (x) = (x - 1) (x - 1) + 1

    h (x) = x² - 2x + 1 + 1

    h (x) = x² - 2x + 2
