    2^3 equals 8, therefore the equation can be written as G (h+8) = 1

    If you expand the equation or distribute:

    Gh+G8=1

    since we are solving for h, we have to isolate it, subtracting g8 from the left side:

    Gh = - G8+1

    in order to only have h, we have to divide both sides by G therefore:

    h = - 8 + 1/g
