    2x+y=-8 | x-y=-4

    You can solve this system in two ways: multiplying the second equation by 2 and subtracting it, or isolating one of the variables in either equation and substituting. I'm going to isolate one of the variables and substitute, but f you want to see the other way, just notify me.

    2x+y=-8 | x=y-42

    (y-4) + y=-82

    y-8+y=-8

    y=0

    Then substitute y in one of the equations.

    x-0=-4

    x=-4

    Therefore, the correct answer is D. (-4,0)
