54/2=27 or an avarage of 27 dollars per day and he worked 2 1/2 hours

so if we assume that he worked 2 1/2 hurs the first day also then

27:1 1/2

1 1/2=2/2+1/2=3/2

27=3/2

he earneed 9 dollars per hour
