A boat can travel 132 miles on 11 gallons of gasoline. how much gasoline will it need to go 252 miles

    12*11=132

    252/12=21

    21*12=252

    11+11=21

    21 is your answer

    132/11=12 mile pser 1 galon

    ratio and propeortion

    132/11=252/xgalons

    12/1=252/x

    multiply both sides by x

    12x=252

    divide both sides by 12

    x=21

    21 gallons
