Hi there! First, we make 4 a fraction, to do this we make a denominator of 1, 4=4/1. Now, we have a multiplication problem of 4/1*3/4. 4*3=12 and 1*4=4. So, we have a fraction of 12/4. The GCF which is the Greatest Common Factor, of 4 and 12 is 4. So, we know that we divide 12 by 4 and 4 by 4. 12:4=3 and 4:4=1. Now, we have a fraction of 3/1, 3/1 is the same as 3. Therefore, we come up with a answer of 3.
