    2 (10) - 2 (6x) = x-8x

    20-12x=x-8x

    +12x+12x

    20=13x-8x

    20=5x

    4=x

    Hey, Lizzy147!

    1st. Distribute 2 to 10 and - 6x

    20-12x=x-8x

    2nd. Move - 12x to the other side.

    20=13x-8x

    Simple math.

    20=5x

    x=4
