I have to change this equation to slope intercept form, and I'm just confused on this part:

Orig: 6x+2y=10

Then:2y=6x+10

After that, I divided 2y by 2 to get y all by itself, but does that mean I have to divide by 2 from 10 or 6x?

    Both of them. You have to do it to everything on that side of the equation.

    You've done a great job, and you're within inches of the finish line.

    2y = 6x + 10

    Divide both sides by 2:

    y = 3x + 5.

    And there you have it ... in the form of [ y = mx + b ].

    Yes you must divide the whole equation by 2
