What is the value of y in y-5=3-9 (y+2)

    Y-5=3-9 (y+2). so so u are going to distribute-9 to y and 2 which is - 9y-18

    so u are going to add like terms 3 and - 18 which is - 15. so the next step is going to be y-5=-9y-15 so u are going to add 5 to - 5 and - 15 to balance the equation and u will get - 10. y=-9y - 10. since u are multiplying - 9 by y so have to expand it y = - 9 * y - 10. so u have to divide y by y to get y. - 9-10 = - 19 soo y = - 19
