A cube has a lateral area of 9 square centimeters. What is the length of each edge of the cube?

    The lateral area of a cube is the area of four of its sides combined. The equation for a cube's lateral area would be A=s^2*4

    9=s^2*4 (plug in what we know)

    9/4=s^2 (divide by 4)

    s=3/2 (square root both sides)
