Kara used the formula P=2 (L+W) to find the perimeter of a photograph. She tells Jim that the length is 6 centimeters and the perimeter is 22 centimeters. How can Jim find the width of the photo?

    P = 2 (L+W)

    22 = 2 (6 + W) you plug in what you know and solve for W

    22 = 2 (6+5)

    22=2 (11)

    22=22

    W = 5 cm
