You find 40% of 65 by finding out what 1% is, in this case 1% is. 65, you do that by simply putting the. behind the 6, then you do. 65 x 40, which is 26, so 40% of 65 is 26.

You need to remember a couple of things:
- - ' 40% ' means ' 0.40 '.
- - In math, the word 'of' almost always means 'times'.
So " 40% of 65 " means " 0.40 x 65 ".
You can do that easily with your pencil or your calculator.
