Put the equation in standard form and solve by factoring or using the quadratic formula.

1 - x² - x + 3 = 2x - 1

2 - x² - 3x + 2 = x - 2

3 - 10x² - 28x - 39 = 2x + 1

    Basically get into ax^2+bx+c=0 form

    1.

    x^2-x+3=2x-1

    x^2-3x+4=0

    (x-4) (x+1) = 0

    x-4=0

    x=4

    x+1=0

    x=-1

    x=4 or - 1

    2.

    x^2-3x+2=x-2

    x^2-4x+4=0

    (x-2) (x-2) = 0

    x-2=0

    x=2

    3.

    10x^2-28x-39=2x+1

    10x^2-30x-40=0

    10 (x^2-3x-4) = 0

    10 (x-4) (x+1) = 0

    x-4=0

    x=4

    x+1=0

    x=-1

    x=-1 or 4

    1. x=-1 or 4

    2. x=2

    3. x=-1 or 4
