    The range will be ur y (or f (x) values ... the domain is ur x values. So it is just a matter of subbing.

    f (x) = x^3 - 1 ... when domain (x) = 0

    f (0) = 0^3 - 1

    f (0) = - 1

    f (x) = x^3 - 1 ... when x = 1

    f (1) = 1^3 - 1

    f (1) = 0

    f (x) = x^3 - 1 ... when x = 2

    f (2) = 2^3 - 1

    f (2) = 8 - 1

    f (2) = 7

    so ur range f (x) = {0,-1,7} when ur domain (x) = {0,1,2}
