Will the opposite of a number always, sometimes, or never be greater than the number itself? Explain your reasoning.

    Sometimes because it depends on if the number is positive or negative if its + the opposite will always be smaller

    3 is original, opp is - 3, - 3 is smaller

    but if you are finding the opposite of a negative number it will always be larger

    if - 100 is original, opp is 100, 100 is bigger
