    Two wools x

    three cotton y

    5x+3y=19

    x+y=5. - - > y = - x+5

    5x+3 (-x+5) = 19

    5x-3x+15=19

    2x = 4

    x = 2

    x+y=5

    2+y=5

    y=3

    5 (2) + 3 (3) = 19

    10+9=19

    19=19

    this is how you properly solve it
