2m from desk to teacher desk

then walk 3m in same direction

    2+3=5

    5meters to the door

total distance is 5 meters, total displacement is 5 meters

    2m + 3m=5m

    2m + (-3) m

    2m - 3m = 1m

    So the answer was 1m
