    C = p + rp

    p = 30.99

    r = 5% ... turn to decimal = 0.05

    C = 30.99 + 0.05 (30.99)

    C = 30.99 + 1.55

    C = 32.54 <==

    Well since 5% is. 05 all you have to do is plug in the numbers so C=30.99+.05X (30.99) so the answer would be 32.5395
