    P = 2h + 2k

    Where h is the length of the rectangle and k is the "height" or one side of the rectangle.

    So here we have x-7 and 2x+1

    So we can just fill this in as our h and k

    P = 2 (x-7) + 2 (2x+1)

    P = 2x-14 + 4x + 2

    P = 6x-12
