the perimeter of a rectangle is 304 cm. the length is 40 cm longer than the width. find the length and width

    X+40 + X+40 + X + X=304

    X represents the length of the shorter side and the longer side is 40cm more so we add 40.

    4X+80=304

    4X=224

    X=56

    Length = (56+40) 96

    Width=56
