    15 hours / 5 hours = 3

    3 x 1.5 hours = 4.5 hours

Eric practiced javelin for 4.5 hours.

Charles practiced javelin the same, so 4.5 hours.

    4.5 / 2.5 = 1.8

    5 hours x 1.8 = 9 hours

Charles practiced relay for 9 hours.
