What is the value of x in the equation - 6x=5x + 22?

    Start off by moving all of the X's to one side. You can do this by subtracting 5x from both sides. Your new equation is - 11x=22. Now get the X all by itself by dividing both sides by - 11. Your final solution is x = - 2
