    y=11

    x=8

    Step-by-step explanation:

    This is Elimination

    2x+2y=38

    Subtract 2x on both sides 2y=-2x+38

    Then Multiply 2 (y=x+3) which equals 2y=2x+6

    Solve by Elimination

    2y=-2x+38

    2y=2x+6

    add the y's and since the x's are different those cancel out, then add 38 and 6.

    then you do the equation 4y=44

    divide both by 4

    y=11

    then you do 11=x+3

    subtract 3 on both sides

    x=8

    and there you go

    I hope this is how you wanted it solved
