A box contains 19 balls labeled 1 through 19. two balls are drawn in succession without replacement. if the second ball has a number 4 on it, what is the probability that the first ball had a smaller number on it? An even number on it?

    The first answer would be 3 out of 19 bc only the numbers less than 4 which is 1,2,&3 could possibly be drawn. then there are 8 even numbers out of the 19 that could possibly be drawn so the second answer would be 8 out of 19. fraction forms would be 3/19 and 8/19
