    - 4[2x+6]=-24

    mutiply the bracket by - 4

    (-4) (2x) = - 8x

    (-4) (6) = - 24

    -8x-24 = - 24

    move - 24 to the right side

    -8x-24+24 = - 24+24

    -8x = - 24+24

    -8x = 0

    divide both sides by - 8 to get + x and by itself

    -8x/-8 = 0/-8

    cross out - 8 and - 8, divide by - 8

    then becomes 1*1*x = x

    x = 0/-8

    Answer:

    x = 0
