Each Candy Bar costs $2 each.

First, you multiply. If the magazines cost 8 dollars each, multiply it by four and you should get 32.

Then, find out what number you'll add to 32 to get 38.

    It should be 6.

So if Katie gets three candy bars, the candy bars will cost 2 dollars apiece.

    32 + 6 = 38.
