Lewis was driving at 90 km per hour when he sneezed.

During the sneeze, his eyes were closed for half a second.

Work out how many metres he travelled in this time.

    recall that 1 km = 1000 m

    hence 90 km/h is equivalent to 90 km/h x 1000 m/km = 90,000 m/hr

    also recall that 1 hour = 60 x 60 = 3600 s

    hence 90,000 m/hr is equivalent to 90,000 m/hr x (1/3600) hr/s = 25 m/s.

    given that is eyes were closed for 0.5 s.

    in 0.5s, he travelled:

    0.5s x 25 m/s = 12.5 m
