    3 Simplify 10x+18-2x to 8x+18-14=8x+18

    4. Subtract 18 from both sides-14-18=8x

    6. Divide both sides by 8-328 = x

    7. Simplify 328 to 4-4 = x-4 = x

    8. Switch sidesx = - 4
