    5x7=35 now u have 200 and 40x5=200 so we used 40 and 7 to get to 235 by muliplying them by 5 each and 40+7=47 and that's ur answer

    You use partial products to divide 235 by 5 by dividing 200 by 5 which is 40. 30 divided by 5 is 7 and 5 divided by 5 equals one. 47 is the answer.
