    Step-by-step explanation:

reg. cones get 2 scoops, lg cones get 3 scoops

    he scooped 234 regular cones ... 234 * 2 = 468 scoops

    he scooped 156 lg cones ... 156 * 3 = 468 scoops

    thats a total of 468 + 468 = 936 scoops

each scoop weighs 3 oz ... so the total weight of the ice cream is:

    936 * 3 = 2808 oz

    1 lb is 16 oz ... so 2808 oz is : 2808/16 = 175.5 lbs

if a tub of ice cream weighs 10 lbs, then richard used:

    175.5 / 10 = 17.55 ... he used 17.55 tubs full
