    If x = 4 and z = 2 you would set up the equation as y = 2•4 (2 + 3)

    2•4 = 8 and 2+3 = 5 so i think you would add them together and y=13

    y = 40

    Step-by-step explanation:

    In the formula y = 2x (z + 3) replace x with 4 and replace z with 2:

    y = 2 (4) (2 + 3), or (performing the addition inside the parentheses first),

    y = 2 (4) (5) = 40
