Y varies inversely with X. When X=5, Y=4, What is the value of Y when X increases to 7.

    to remove inversely we use constant so let constant be k

    y=k/x. (1)

    now let find value of k

    X=5, Y=4

    put these in above equation (1)

    4=k/5

    4*5 = k

    20=k

    now when x increase to 7

    x=5 increase to 7 x=12

    now let find value of y put value of x and k in equation (1)

    y=20/12

    y=5/3
