    24cookies

    Step-by-step explanation:

In the jar contains cookies, probability of randomly selecting an oatmeal-raisin cookie = 1/6,

probability of selecting a sugar cookie = 1/8

If the remaining cookies in the jar are chocolate, the probability of choosing the remaining cookies taking 1 as the total probability will be (1-1/6+1/8)

    1/6+1/8 = 4+3/24

    = 7/24

the probability of choosing the remaining cookies will be 1-7/24 = 17/24

The number of cookies in the jar could be 24cookies which is the total outcome i. e the lowest common multiple of their probabilities.
