    There were 21 large sodas sold and 14 small sodas sold.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    x=number of small sodas

    y=number of large sodas

    .45x+.65y=18.55

    x+y=35

    Multiply the second equation by. 45

    .45 (x+y=35)

    .45x+.45y=15.75

    Subtract

    .45x-.45x=0

    .65y-.45y=.20

    18.55-15.75=2.80

    .20y=2.80

    Divide

    (.20y) /.20 = (2.80) /.20

    y=14

    Insert y into one of the equations

    x+14=35

    Subtract

    x+14-14=35-14

    x=21

    There were 21 small sodas sold and 14 large sodas sold.
